How to read a player duel

A higher market value does not automatically mean one footballer is better in every role. The number usually reflects a mix of age, contract security, recent form, league level, position scarcity, club demand, and resale potential. A young winger with elite output can carry a larger value than an older proven player because the market prices future seasons as well as current ability.

Use this comparison as a starting point for debate. Look at the gap in value, the rank difference, the tactical position, and the club context before deciding which profile is more useful. Two players can be close in quality while being priced differently because one profile is rarer or easier to sell in the next transfer window.
